On 07-06 I got my painted parts back the first time, see earlier post. On 7-08 brought them to another painter quote was for 3-4 days, I still don't have them back. I'm about to flip out. Does anybody in this business do as promised? I don't want to cuss him out, he still has my parts.
Just ranting & venting my frustrations to those who have been thru it.

            Bandera!

Count me in! I am putting on a new back tire this week.

Any word from Hippie Dave? I'd sure like to see that awesome 78 again.

Hi Greg, he's been waiting 8 weeks so far for a quoted 2 week turnaround on his big bore kit install. Talked to him yesterday about our woes. You know crying on each others shoulder. I think he just did it so the the Shameless Hussy would still have a leg up on mine . By the way he says he's coming.

                SWEET!

Its gonna be awesome, AGAIN! Good to hear he will be coming. Yeah, he has no shame. But he sure deservres the praise.

Maybe we all can meet someplace again and ride into Bandera together. Its still pretty cool seeing a bunch of XSes rolling down the Texas highways. Even if Tinman is piloting the luxury liner !

I'm making plans to be there, just me and the XJ. Will probably camp, though, if there are any campgrounds in the area.

Greg as it get's closer we'll figure out a spot and time to meet up.

Jerry, glad to here your trying to come, would be proud to meet and go on a ride with you.

Sure had a great time last year, accept for my little mishap. But that's another story.

                      Wow Jerry

That's one hell of a long ride to attend a rally. Good luck on the journey. Maybe by then I'll be able to ride long distance again, and I can convince SWMBO to let me go.

                        Load up and go...

Hey John, take some meds, pile in the car and have the wife drive you. Bring a lawn chair and we will set you up under a shady tree for the weekend. Or, can you get a sidehack mounted before then?

                            Almost DONE

I got the painted parts back on Saturday. They look real good. I did all the work putting fairing back together with new trim and the seat hardware and mounted all the badging. Thought I would test the new rear signals. I still have a left but no right, I'll have to track that problem down before installing everthing. I'm close but still no cigar. I want to ride, that is if I remember how.

                              Website coming soon

Finally, I almost have the TeXSive website finished. It will have all the info you need for the rally.
I will start a new thread here when I post it in the next few days.

                              Ride Safe.

I'm gonna try and make this one. I'd like to get my bike running better, though.
