    Hope to see ya there.

Should have the website updated by next week with all the info. It's been a crazy summer so I need to catch up on the rally details.

      TeXSive Rally

I sure would like to be there in Bandera this October but probably wont have my scooter ready by then. Maybe I could just stop by anyway to have a look and ask a few questions and visit.
I'm still trying to ressurrect my 78' E. Sure wish money and time were equal.

          It's Alive & Well

After many months of getting screwed by painters and what not as of last Sunday all is back together and running down the road. The only thing left to do is redo the forks, I didn't do something right and they are bottoming out, probably just didn't measure out 212cc for each leg correctly. I'm happy with the way it looks it should give Dave and the Shameless Hussy a run for it's money in the looks department but won't keep up on the road. He did the big bore kit and had many problems with the shop doing the work. I talked to him Saturday night and he is definitely planning on coming to the rally.

          See y'all there.
There's always a way, figure it out.

            Hey Dave,
Do you have Progressive fork springs on that baby? I highly recomend then if you dont. Especially with the fairing, makes handling much better.

No, wish I did but I'm out of $$$$. Really want a for brace first.

When we leave for the rally a bunch of us need to ride out together from the Houston area. David, Mike, Greg & I are going to try to do that.

                I'm Ready!

I mounted a new Metzler me880 Marathon on the rear and boy howdy, does she stick now! It compliments the Metzler Lazer 33 I have on the front.

I still have a lot of cosmetic stuff to do, but I have too many Honda car projects in the way. Rebuild a rack, clutch, tranny, upper and lower ball joints, geez, this '89 accord will never be finished!

I am looking forward to meeting you guys somewhere and tooling down to Bandera together.

BTW, how was the chicken fried bacon at Sodolaks?

The CF bacon was only so-so...but the steaks sure were good!

I ordered the "medium" sirloin...and it was excellent! I couldn't finish it....kind-a embarrassing actually.....

                    I hear ya!

I'm so bummed that I missed that lunch! I hadn't checked e-mail in a while and hadn't been on the site either. Lotta projects around taking up too much of my play time.

Since it was only 20 minutes from my house, I sure would have liked to see you guys again. I know now to check my e-mail and the site more often so I don't miss an opportunity like that. My bad...

But that's OK, I'll catch you good people in October at Bandera!

                        Rally Update

The TeXSive Rally 05 web site should be up today.
Here is a byte about accommodations from the site that many of you may want to know...

I will be staying at the Old Town Square Hotel (Tel: 830-796-4100) . Located on Main Street in Bandera. This hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, saloons, and the main shopping district in Bandera.
I have spoken to the folks as Old Town Square and made arrangements for a discount stay. Anyone who calls within 3-4 weeks of the rally and mentions my name (Wayne Ilfrey) will get a $10.00 discount per night. The rooms are normally $89.00 a night but we can get them for $79.00 per night. The management also told me that they have a courtyard where we can park our bikes so they are off the road at night.
Old Town Square's restaurant "Texaritas" is were we will be having our Saturday night dinner party as well.

                            Wayne,
Count us in, one 80g hardbagger w/2 up, one 03 Warrior w/2up. Plan to leave early Friday PM and will make reservation @ Old Town Hotel. Anyone else from the Austin area want to hook up and ride together, lemme know.
                            When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger
