        • Things are "In the Making"

Hey Guys, I've been doing some scouting once again. The weather finally broke enough here to let me put 496 miles on the bike this past week-end. 'Got some great routes planned, thanks to MartyA. I was even put on a TOP SECRET scouting mission.
I'm sorry to keep everyone in the dark, but, I'm affraid that if I say any more, this message will self destruct!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again, not to mention seeing some for the first time too!
I'll be at the 'Shed on Friday afternoon on my Gold Wing. However, due to my daughter's High School graduation I must "bug out" at aprox. 7:00 AM on Sat. morning to attend the ceremonies back in Summersville at 10:00AM. 'Bet I'll be the only parent attending on a bike!
But, "" I'LL BE BACK""!!! on Sat. evening to hear all that I may have missed out on. I may even have my graduating daughter, Sarah, on board when I return.
'Looking forward to the group ride on Sunday.
Someone let me know about the dinner plans for Sat. evening so possibly I/we may attend also.
          Ride Safe,
          Greg

P.S. I sure like this scouting; reminds me of Tonto and the Lone Ranger; just wish it paid more than four+ hrs. saddle time in the rain!! [I was still smiling though ---- HONEST!] I'm going to say it again, 'got some great routes planned!'

                • Great looking shirt logo guys! Thumbs Up for sure.
Russ, definitely the "+" [plus] on the 4+ hrs. Actually, as you know, the 4+ was just the riding time that was in the rain.
Also, spending a night out on the road, in a hotel I won't mention AND in a town I CAN NOT mention; sure helped me put the miles on the odometer and do the scouting in the TOP SECRET area.
If I gave any more details, MartyA would have to shoot me, plus this message would self-destruct. Mum's the word.
I will say this, I spent nearly two hrs. Monday morning [I work 3rd shift] cleaning the 'Wing. It had the most nasty, chocolate brown road film on it that I had ever seen on a street bike! [There is ONE exception: Danny Meyer's "Dragon" with all that red, clay mud film!]
I want to stress that I'm only a loyal scout, the routes are being scouted in this TOP SECRET area are all of MartyA's ideas and map research, as far as I know.
Now as for the Sunday trip; I did make a few suggestions for the routes and can take my fair share of the blame on that one!
But seriously; it's a group effort and I truly believe that all will pay off, at least ten-fold [32?] for the Rally.
                  'Looking forward to XSEast, 2006 - - - -

In February, I reseved a room with a single bed at the Mountain Motel. The following week, a friend said he wanted to go, so I changed my reservation to a room with 2 beds. Last week, another friend said he wanted to go, so I changed my reservation again, to a room with 4 beds. This week, both friends bailed. Now I have 3 emty beds, if anyone is interested in sharing a room, and costs, PM me here, or e-mail me at dwales@cebridge.net.
