Well lets be a bit more specific a Sport -tourer that goes by the FJR1300 moniker.
If youve never owned a modern sport-tourer then you would only imagine what you might be missing...After having 2 FJ1200s' and a Honda ST1100 I can tell you how spoiled I had become during a LD ride...and being on a vintage bike feels just like it is...great, viceral, and only comfortable for about 1 hour when you've 5+ hours to go....

    • If I had unlimited funds it would be a new Connie 14. There is something about 156 HP that kinda appeals to me. Course my license would be gone in a week.

        • Ben, my XS has been to North Carolina as well as other places and my comfort has been just fine, for lots of hours. It obviously is no ST tho.
You ready to use that new camping gear in a few weeks?

Phil, guess I missed that you were getting a new bike. Sounds great. You're gonna like it!

Dean I dont doubt for a moment you had a comfortable ride...seems like everyone elses bike had a more comfortable seating arraingment than mine... My seat is just too low...so once I fix that then I expect it would be more comfortable to ride longer distances...

                      Hi Brian,
Yeah First time since we had to look for it at the side of the road near Bobcaygeon or where ever the hell we were
Only split the joint did not fall off..... fortunately.
The old Maxim will still do 100mph (160kph) which is why it blew off screwdriver soon fixed mine.
BNE blew his right off left lying in the road for the rest of us to aviod.
borrowed bolt had BNE on his way in no time.
All part of the adventure of touring with the Xsives
Hope you can make XSNorth in July.

Hehehe... thought this scenario sounded familiar.

Still not sure about July.. strange doin's in the neighbourhood here so will have to see how everything plays out.

A good camping supply store will have it by the name of Ensolite. It's sold as sleeping bag pad.
