Considering on what time of year and the weather; I may attend.
And like Chevy said, [I'm gonna hold you to this one!] don't trash me too bad if I show up on my Gold Wing; at least hold off until we've formally met!
I think that a "Central Rally" is an extremely good idea. 'Should be good attendance.
Perhaps even Dragonrider could be there to autograph books ['just a hopeful idea]. How about it, Dan??
If I do attend, I may just be a spectator at the drag strip. After
totaling my '84 'Wing Sept. one year ago; I'm not quite as daring as I used to be! Breaking my back in two places taught me a lesson or two. [sorry for the pun]. I remind myself every Thanksgiving of all the things I'm truly thankful for.
Besides; why embarrass myself on a drag strip? lol On the other hand, finding out the quarter mile time of an '87 Gold Wing could be interesting!

Thanks for considering the older contigent - no, not me, I AM old, but my XS is one of the oldest out there. It will go the distance, just takes a bit longer sometimes.

                  all the motels

I-94 and hiway 50 aprox 15 min. away has all the hotel motels you would ever want. budgit inn ,hotel 6, holiday inn ,etc. etc. there is also a sleep room place aprox. 1-1/12 miles up the street from camp grounds (it's on the corner where we turn to go camping) they want 50 a night to stay. From the outside didn't look like it was worth it,but you know... this week end i will go out to the hotel strip and get info or contact numbers and such.but any way i know there is at least 3 places to choose from to sleep other than camping. also go back a few posts as the camp grounds does have the little cabins with beds for sleeping also.

right on Aug. yes actualy waiting for the track people. they can give the date for we know we will be able to get racing in. As far as camp grounds go as soon as they open i'll let everyone know. so we can get spots early aug is camping month around here.Thats why i originaly was going for sept oct. but i want to make the most people happy so early Aug it will be.I will stay tuned for the track peeeps also as SOON AS THEY tell me YOU"LL be next to know. How many shirts do i get for a gather ing like this? And sizing?5 of each 10 of each?Am starting out with 50 dash plaques,(min order) 25 shirts and trophies.1st 2nd 3rd places, long distance RIDER on XS-XJ (trailers don't count), but ugly award,(watch out Marty i run you for that honor) and possibly a few other XS type awards if funds permit. So i'm still here and will be posting as info comes in.TIA

There are no butt ugly XS motorcycles, just some with better opportunities...

I wonder if highlander can make it? If he brings his "chopper" I think he'll beat up on all of us, if he brings his standard he and I can compete for supreme crud king or something like that.

chevy, the best shirt guy I know is madbiker, but there are others who have gotten shirts for rallies, so I think you can get more advice than you'll need.

And yes, beds under roofs is my preference.

                                New to me

since i'm new at this planning thing got a question for all. What is the way to go for a 2 day event? on arrival meet somewhere for food?, or have me whip up some grub for the wiery traveler? (been told i make the best burger on earth) do we cook out at like the track or do i bring the cooking irons and we make our own stuff? or is it track food and every man for himself? Like stated i'm making this happen for the most part to see some faces and make new friends and see theese fine rides in person. We do have long country roads here but if your loking for long twisty roads forget it. I can put us on some prime leasurly rides of beautiful country though. tyhis place is midway between Millwauke and chicago and for the most part farm land and animals. I will be having a vehical at our disposal to get liquid refreshments (i'll have a couple of cases to start us out) and of coarse the grill and such. Just trying to make this as comfortable as possible for the crew want peeps to come back and visit again... thoughts comments and critizism welcome....ya ya can't spel worth a dang
