Got new coils on. Sprung a gas leak. Also the starter switch wasn't working replaced that. Battery too weak to take charge. Need to pick a new battery. Man my pockets are getting empty quickly. Looking like things might be a go for Lost MN Edition.

          crossing the line

"...Not sure what area they belong in." Ha Ha Ha

I have found that it is OK to cross the line and still belong at an XS rally. Lines include the Mason Dixon line, Mississippy river, US/Canada Border (passport required to return to US), and other regional boundaries.

I have really enjoyed the lost rallies & riding with a relatively small close knit group. The rides have wandered into many more States than just IL. The roads & sights have certainly been more than straight roads through cornfields, many featured in national publications.

It is only too far to go until after you have been there.

However, I will miss the Lost rally this fall. Sunday August 8, 2010 I will be helping my daughter move in to the freshman dorm at college.

Y'all have fun getting lost. I did.
It is a great big beautiful world out there

Looks like a go for me, got the time laid out and just need to do a little touching up on the maintenance on the Dragon. Calendar is marked "firm date" so will be seeing you there good lord willing and the river don't rise.

                Ride

You guys that are going on the ride will have to work on your bikes to make this ride. What you have to do is cut the bike in two pieces and put a hinge in the middle to be able to make the turns. It looks like crusier followed a snake when he laid out the route. LOL Just got back from crusiers place today where he took me on part of the route. You guy will love this route. Be sure he shows you the Rock in House, it is amazing! And don't anyone try to jump your bike off the lookout point. And for directions to the Midwestern Motel when you go to Winnoa just stay on Route 61. It runs right in front of the Motel. Just turn in between Quik Trip gas station and the Motel. It is listed as 7115 Martina Rd but that is the road that runs behind and beside the Motel. On there business card it is listed as Route 61. Motel is alright but the air cond. is a little loud. Motel and Gas station are on the right side of the road.
                Thanks Tom

                  AAAAAALLLLLright.
Got the hinges installed and ready to ride. Mindwebs will love this one as well as I, don't care about the air conditioner as I am a campground guy anyway.

                    FYI
I haven't booked any rooms yet but I have been told that you can get a room, with two queen beds, at the Days Inn for under $50 per night by going through priceline.com.

We should pick a motel so that we can all be at the same one.

Just a few weeks out and I'm now on the fence. Not sure I'll have enough time and money to get my bike finished and replated w/insurance in time. Still waiting on my unemployment check to get a battery than check if everything is running good before I make the final call. Sorry I cannot be more sure of where I stand. I really need to get out and ride. I'll keep you all posted.
