    Shifting and shift cover is done! I also put in the new cam chain guides. My plan is the clutch by Tuesday with the cover on. I'll post more pics later.

      Slight detour on the work. Pictures are from the '79 Special I was getting ready to start riding for the year. First ride and it sounded wrong and loud. Checked under the pipes while at idle and felt something under the right side. You can see what happened after only 47 years! Geeze, can someone make a bike that does any better? OH, that's right, nobody does!

        Just need to put it back on! Yes, the welds are NOT nice looking, but it is welding Chromed steel, rust, and carbon. I added a bit of 16 gauge to the bottom for extra strength. The flat black is all I could fine quickly for high temp.
