Street fighter/ Bobber build 2.0

Just screwing around with some ideas.... The bikes name is Route 66, My good friend and his brother shipped their Harley's out west and road Route 66 back to it's end then down to Florida.
Their trip inspired me to look at Street bikes for the first time. Couldn't find any I liked started searching metric bikes and what people were doing to them and bingo I was hooked. So if I can pay tribute I will but if not that's OK to.

Rear brake/running lights came in. Will have to figure out best way to install...

I like to ride with my feet nearly under me (years of quad riding) so wasn't even thinking rearsets but will at least explore that riding position...

How about rearsets? It looks like a good place to hang them.

Need to figure out something here....Can't see a good line for cutting off and the brake return spring uses some of this area to rest on....um maybe fab something for a badge here.

You have something that says it's an XS1100. The engine!

It almost no-longer looks like an XS with the seat and side pans. It looks great, but once it's finished, I wonder if I'll easily identify it as an XS11?

Yes i'm struggling with that a little.... I want to give the XS it's identity back in a very subtle way.

I think if I can reduce the green by about 15% i'll feel better about it. Going to buy some black paper and fiddle with some stripes and try and work the XS1100 into something....

A black Naugahyde bra on the tank with piping to match the seat might tone it down a bit.
Once you kermit to green, you're stuck with it.

Need to tone down the green feeling a little over whelmed....

The green looks good. The tank is small and the side panels are small. The color is not too much. I like it!
