Don't remember the emgo's giving me previous problems but re-looking at this lip wondering if it can hinder any orifices....

          • Practiced getting the bleeder screw out of this caliper a lot of torch and vice grips it gave up the ghost and cam loose. No I did not deform it in the process...came that way

Is this off a special because no inspection window?

            • Those Emgo's absolutely will cause havoc with your carbs. The lip messes with a port in the throat.

If you must use them, make a small adapter from spare airbox boots.
It's what I did until I tracked down a decent airbox to replace my broken one.

              • Looks to be a caliper off of an 81 MNS. The window would be at the rear if so. Will not fit unelss using a MNS rear setup.

Couple of more parts bikes of which 2 more will live!

                • Happy Birthday Merry Christmas to me this little whore came out with no damage to the threads.......

The left side I had to grab with a set of vice grips that I had to close it with a huge pair of channel lock pliers then tap with a hammer and it came loose as well...Me so happy!!!!!!

                    • Answer is use the rubber velocity stacks from the stock air box. If you don't have a stock air box, I think there is a hose about the correct size available from you auto parts store. Measure the outside diameter of the carbs, in inches, and look for a fuel hose with that inside diameter. It will be a hose used for the fill neck on fuel tanks for cars or boats.

i have stock stacks so my vision goes like this...
End of carb...stock boot...something here to clamp onto both stock boot and emgo pod....then emgo pod. What am I missing?

                              • Rebuilt front master brake and calipers over the weekend getting ready to bleed them...

FYI if you soak this rubber seal in brake fluid for fifteen minutes it literally turns into a rubber band and just slides right on....seems many have a difficult time with this part....
