O.K. I know that the ZRX12 stock wheel is 180 and ZRX11 is 170 from factory, but not sure if the rear rims are different. I will measure tonight and email you. I just sent out your ' Busa brake line USPS. Does it look like you got every piece/spacers from the rear axle? I didn't even recognize the small washer that goes on the axle nut until I disassembled for that pic....I really am starting to get tired of this SamSung 5 mpxl camera

        • Monoshock

Finally got a reply about this swingarm's measurements....Would be another candidate for the XS11 chaindrive conversion with monoshock....It even has the mount for the shock already there. And I would also bet the battery box can stay factory.....Chop

          • battery box problem

On the Triumph St, I had to relocate Battery Box because of the shock angle position....Here, The Ducati Monoshock is straight up-and-down....

              Hi xschop,
The ducati monoshock is push/pull rod activated, The swingarms moves the rod up or down and activates the monoshock via a link mounted in the frame below the rear of the tank.
When you look closely you see the rod that goed from behind the carbon heelplate to the upper part of the frame triangle. There it activates the link. The bolt that holds it can be seen left of the seat lock.

              • better shock

Yes, I believe that this is a better monoshock design because there is only 1 frame mount point where you explained, the other 2 are both on the swingarm itself (link and shock locations)....Even better for the swap because you just have to weld one location to the XS11 right behind the battery box....chop

                • Found one

Finally I have found and bough a swing arm off a ZRX1100 Kaw.
My own project bike should be easier to complete now.

                        • Hey chop .. I am guessing that I will be best off to acquire a rear axle for the ZRX1100 swing arm for this set up that uses the 650 rear wheel? I guess I also will have to look into how to set up the rear brake and space it proper as well.

                          • Yes

Get the zrx1100 rear axle. I think Scappod got the Zrx1200 axle from ebay and it was longer, make sure it's the 1100 for your swingarm....The Zrx1100 axle is 20mm Dia. Same as XS1100, and I think same as xs650.....your bike will look cool....Since you are grafting the 650 rim to the zrx swingarm, you will have to make sure of your rim centerline first, then make the axle/rim spacers.....

A rear brake line of 27" is perfect for your swap. I sent one to Scap from a Front Busa Line and he said it fit right on...chop

                              • If axle DIA is the same I will wait until the swing arm arrives and check it out. The 650 rear wheel is the same as the xs1100 except with a sprocket. I may have to Fidel around with the rear brake if I want to make use of the existing mount bracket. The 650 rear wheel may look small in that swing arm ... we'll see :-)
