Someone was asking about Wear Bars on tires.
I took the opportunity while changing tires to take some pictures.
Did I mention I am not much of a photographer
Top pic shows the arrow in sidewall (above the bright spot) 2nd pic tire worn down to Wear Bar third pic same tire different part of the tread with no Wear Bar
My new shinko 712 came with 6.5mm tread depth wear bar has 4.1 mm indicating just over 2mm of useful rubber on the tire.
