Greg, you just did some grinding on the thing because you're about as patient as the Tasmanian Devil with a good caffeine buzz going.

When it comes right down to it, one or both of us might be full of it. Speaking for myself, it's strictly from the seat of the pants.

I have not yet been able to skid my front tire with brakes on the XS Eleven. I put a 90/90-19 on my XS650 and I couldn't skid that either. (The brakes probably need work.) I'm back to 100 after low side crash. (ran out of ground clearance) The tire probably had nothing to do with it, but I'll take no chance with it.

This gives us something to talk about anyway. This thread is getting more miles than a Shinko tire! I look forward to hoisting a few over it in a couple of weeks.

        I did once...

OK.. hitting the front brake on gravel covered cement while turning may not be your best idea... lol. Under normal conditions, I haven't skid (Skidded?) either. The bike will actually do a bit of a stoppie with the back end bouncing around and hopping up and down off the ground, making the back brake useless.

Greg said he got a little less gas mileage when he put his 110 on, so apparently there is a bigger patch of tire on the ground.

But also not trying to convince ANYONE that I'm not full of it.. lol.

That it does Jet! Accidently had wrong size Metz ME33(90series instaed of 100) come in and ran it anyways. It made front fell like it was turning under itself in horseshoes sharp sweepers. Definitely less countersteer pressure needed!

Ehhh... Wrestling around this big ol' front tire and squeezing this clutch with those stiff *#@ Barnett clutch springs installed keeps me in shape!

            Round is a shape, right?

I've skidded the front tire on clean pavement on a panic stop even with the bigger front tire. I don't think it locked completely but it sure was squealing.

I have a plastic Maier front fender on this bike that is somewhat more adjustable than the stock fender. Will see how it goes this weekend when I mount the tires.

Hey, what's a couple of bucks extra, the things showed up less than 48 hrs. after ordering, way down here in the southern tip. That MCsuperstore takes at least a week for them to get here.

Hi Phil Thanks for that link. I have found the 17" rear difficult to find as you point out . not only do some model tires not come in this size many places do not stock the ones that do. I paid more but was able to get quick delivery here in Canada. Bringing tires across the border is a bit of a crap shoot as while there is no Duty we get hit with clearance fees by some carriers (UPS) and that wipes out any advantage of price.
