    stevestrom! i like your stripe!

you are a man after my own heart. though I was cussing when I was taping as trying to mask an even, straight stripe is harder than it looks!

    nice work.

hmm ok .. well i have tried that .. Thank you..

its coming along but boy does it take a long time .. i wish i could ride it right now. its so tough doing a project like this when i have no equipment and no assistance. We have BMC choppers here in bend and they just dont deal with anything "out of the box"
I get laughed at by other cycle shops and get that deer in the headlights look.
I head to harley for odd parts and custom stuff and get the same BS on how
it cannot be done etc etc. I find myslef hearing "why" or " its not possible" or a bunch of other excuses for people turning the work down that i want to do on this bike.

I am posting from photobucket, I just copy the address of the pic, under picture properties.

Then click the 'insert image' icon when you are creating your post and want to ad a picture (looks like a yellow little box with a mountain in it). A text box will pop up and you paste the address into it. This is what works for me.

    Good luck!

Sweet bike by the way, I look forward to more pics!

A little tough to follow up Roccet's bike but here is mine pretty much done for now. Started out as a non-running freebie '82 XJ1100 when I got it, 9 months later and about $1200 and this is it now.

that is a pretty custom front end setup you are going for...

Roccet - that is some fancy work there - you need a thread explaining how you got to this point...
