    Harry,
If you can go, that would be awesome!

    Hey Greg,
Maybe Scott wouldn't mind to print some extra $$ for me and Harry, too?
    That'd be cool...

    Lol...

Yeah, I am a maybe. A lot depends on if SWMBO finds a job. If she is still unemployed by then, I have bigger problems than trying to go to a rally.

Just talked to Bigfoot on the phone. He's leaning strongly in that direction.

    I'll convince him.......

    Foood.... (thud)

The broken exhaust bolt just budged a fine frog hair in the '79 head so that's some progress.

Breakfast. Where can we get breakfast without going on a fifty mile ride through the Toolies to Taco Bell or sommat?

I'm tryin'. Haven't shamed anyone else into it yet. I've learned a few more excuses from them though. FWIW

BA, do you anticipate anyone else riding out with you? Trying to get some rough numbers for figuring out cost per night so guys have an idea.

At this point with 14 guys at the campground Friday night and 13 guys Saturday and Sunday it's about $7.50 a piece per night. So you guys that paid a $15 deposit will only owe around $8 more total if my numbers are close. That is based on $260 total for the first 10 guys and five bucks a night for each guy after that.

I would aim for kickstands up at 8:45 a.m saturday, It's about a 50-mile ride to Bishop's Castle and will cruise over the top of Skyline Drive on the way there. Then another 30 miles into Westcliff for lunch and depending how we want to finish the day the total mileage will be 125-180 miles. Some guys may want to take the the shortest way back to the campground and others may want to do an out and back over to Salida to get some more pretty riding along the Arkansas River.

On Friday I'd like to meet at the campground around 5 pm for everyone that can to meet and greet and go over the rides to get people familiar with what we're going to do. Then I think it would be to do a dinner for anyone that wants to across the road at the 8 Mile Bar and Grill where we ate last time. That'll get you guys on the 8 Mile ride back to the Hotel well before dark.

    Howard,

You can call if you want. I had your number from the U-Haul rally but it got grenaded along with a few others when I bought a new phone so Echo Canyon was just making sure we could communicate. That reminds me, I need to get a new camera/camera phone before the trip.

After I dropped it on Motoman's garage floor, my old phone with the good camera started to randomly short out the battery in mid call and turn itself off. That's really not good for a lithium pack you're holding next to your ear and it also broke the connector loose from the circuit board. That made it hard to recharge the phone and the sync cable for the desktop computer didn't work at all. I probably could have used Bluetooth to get the rest of the missing/hammered contacts but I don't, uh, actually have a Bluetooth adapter and I didn't think of it before I recycled the old phone.

Anyway! I have options for getting to Colorado and back this time but I don't know how it will work out because it hasn't happened yet!

BA80, like Brant says, room for more tents on this group site on top of what we already have. I have an extra tent that will work fine with your twin mattress if you need one. Otherwise, bring yours and there's plenty of room to pitch it.

The first 10 people are covered in the cost of each night's camp site fee, each additional person is $5 per night, so the more people the more it starts bringing the total cost down per person in the grand scheme. With 3Phase throwing his hat in the ring, and if BA80 comes and Ivan too, we will be at a dozen guys

XJOK, good deal on Miles coming down to ride, be great to finally meet him.

Right now, looks like 14-15 (counting JW for Friday night/Saturday ride possibly) bodies at the group site, 2 guys in rustic cabins at the campground, 2 guys doing a hotel and Bohn's daughter in the hotel as well. With Miles coming down for the day Saturday we will have 20 bikes potentially.

I will be leading one group, Debeque Jerry will be leading the other. Plan is for groups to depart 30 minutes apart each day. Saturday's ride to Bishops Castle is a nice loop with a number of good lunch places in Westcliffe. Sunday's ride will start with a 30 minute ride to the Bull Moose Restaurant in Guffey for breakfast, then the choice to ride up Pikes Peak or over to Cripple Creek (historic mining town turned casino town) to spend some time there.

Overall I hope you guys really like what is planned, and we'll make decisions as a group when needed to keep things running well.

I will get more/detailed info in the next week or so for Jerry to put out on the Rally website with ride route maps for each day and any other stuff that isn't on there yet that would be helpful.
