How many SWMBO's attending
Coming down to the wire, I'm sure Gypsy would like to be with me, but we don't have the high tech mind reading cage any more, and she requires a room with electricity for her breathing machine. Me, I can rough it for a couple of nites, but...
So what is the "better half" count?
Special EdOld bikers never die, they're just out of sight!
My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
I've been riding since 1959.

Well unless I get some cash I don't think I can attend this year. The timing is just a little off. My checks are two weeks apart and I pay my mortgage on the 2nd and don't get paid till the Thu after the rally .91 kwaka kz1000p

well I do have some stuff, a set of standard wheels without rotors , a couple of standard tanks , one with just flash rust and it does have emblems, one with a little rust no emblems, a beat up but usable kerker , a pacifico fairing with brand new windscreen and mounting brackets one 80 g side cover I think its the left one one complete 80g head that needs to be resurfaced but it has all the valves buckets and cams in it , id take 25 ea for the wheels 150 for the tank w/emblems 100 for the tank with out . 100 for the kerker , 150 for the fairing just because of the new windscreen . 50 for the side cover and 125 for the head . this is all plus shipping , oh I do have a really nice standard front fender as well for 30 bucks91 kwaka kz1000p

Garth,
If you can find the gas money for the ride up, I'm sure we could help out with some of the other costs, as long as you don't need to stay at the Ritz! Tent spots are cheep, and if we all put in an extra two dollar bill, that will cover LoHo for the food cost! Just try and meet up with 3phase, and we'll see you up there!Ray Matteis

I do appreciate the offers of cash but I just dont feel right about it so Id rather sell some of the stuff thats just collecting dust anyway the worst part is I just spent like 400 bucks getting my bike ready with new tires regi and insurance all i need is to change the oil91 kwaka kz1000p

I might just make it after all I just did the math I figure about 320 miles from my door to santa margarita thats only two fill ups at 4.20 a gallon thats 25 bucks a tank , (6 gallon tank at 36mpg ) another 25 bucks for the saturday ride and two more on the way back its only like 125 bucks , and I figure another 100 for food and beer and smokes I should be able to swing it .91 kwaka kz1000p

Garth,
You made me feel at home when I was down in the cage, so a few bucks for beers is no big thing! We ALL like to ride, and it's a LOT more fun with more people to listen to the story for the tenth time!
Glad to hear you will be making it!Ray Matteis
