I'm thinking about getting a cabin this time; tired of carrying the tent and backpack and closer to Larry and the vittles.

That'd be fine. I have to reserve some space for the rally in Colorado so I don't end up sleeping under a railroad trestle after crossing the desert. I'll make some calls tomorrow.

The Kabin I wanted is being refurbished, so Kabin 23 it is for 2011. It is back up the hill a ways, and should be okay, especially if we get a little noisy, as the cursing and recrimination from you guys trying to fix my bike in order to be fed could get pretty loud.
"Time is the greatest teacher; unfortunately, it kills all of its students."
Just made my reservation. Will arrive on the 9th, depart on the 13th. I like having a bit of extra time on both ends of the schedule. Have a tent site selected, asked to be close to Kabin 23 but will have to see where they put me. Warning: I snore LOUDLY.
I'll be on the Concours instead of the XJ.
Now I have to make my reservation for the Colorado rally...campground was supposed to open on the 15th of this month but so far they have not returned my call.

I'm so broke "Ah cain't evun pay attention," but I'll make it if I can. I have to figure whether to invest in a tent space or a cabin... or a motel room. Will SWMBO be along or not? Stay tuned for next weeks exciting episode!

Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!
My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
I've been riding since 1959.
I need to try and get a place to bed down as well. I think a tent spot will work, as it's cheap! I need to save some coins for the Colorado Run! I'll be on the MNS for this ralley, and the BMW for Colorado, as Jerry is NOT on his XJ! Just got to keep the pot stirred!

Jerry,.......from not going to considering going........As time gets closer, with some more ridin' maybe my tailside will get broke back in for the haul out there again........know I kinda cheated last year. Hey, at least I showed up with the appropiate rally matching scoot! Of course, if riding there this year would be out of uniform on the ST again.

I'd like to make this meetup, I'm in Joshua Tree, CA so thats about 5 hrs or so away...If I were to leave at 5pm i wouldn't be getting in until around 10pm thats with minimal stops and flying faster than one should travel at night...so I have a few questions...Does the park have a closing time?...I dont know if my XS will be registered by that point, or if it would make it that far or not so can i ride something else...How late do you stay up partying? Can I bring Canned Corn Beef Hash for breakfast? How far out do i have to make reservations? Does anyone know where i can find Yuengling in California? Is anyone else traveling out that late? is it possible to meet up with someone coming from the same area or passing by on their way up?...and If I were to go is there any requirements that I should know about, so as to not show up and feel like the turdling that fell out just before reaching the head...

Ride what you can when you can; no clue about the beer or the corned beef!
I think most of the Southern California contingent will be riding up in the morning and we'll be at the lake by late afternoon but there might be someone that has to work and can't get away early; have to see if someone else jumps in.
The Santa Margarita Lake KOA doesn't really close except for quiet time after ten o'clock and the management is pretty cool, unlike the control-freak twits at the Mariposa KOA. You could make a reservation or arrange to split one with one of the members but we'll find someplace for you to sleep if you can't.

Plan? PLAN!? No salt, no plans ... oops, wrong group.
We'll probably go for a ride somewhere really cool after breakfast. No one has thought that far ahead yet.
