I'm sorry I couldn't make the rally this year, but I didn't feel up to it and none of you wanted my strep throat. It looks like it was a lot of fun and I miss you guys. See you next year.

Hey rally is not over yet!! Weather has been good, a little chilly here now (was hot when we got here). Leaving this morning for a 1600mile trek on the bikes. Be back Sat or Sunday then head north to ride someplace. Headed to Barber museum, then up to Nashville and the Natchez trace, then south to New Orleans, East to Florida then back here. Nice photos TC.

Next year we change the name, XS Southeast? what other ideas you got?

wow you guys should see my chicken strips...

they are about 1/8"... before the trip they were anout 1/2"

that was awesome! maybe next year i'll have the progressive front shocks and she'll handle better. i did let a little air out and it seems to not be so rough on the bumpy roads though.

anybody going to post pics on here... i know there were more taken.

i really enjoyed it guys!! thanks gary and bruce, and TC it was awesome!

thanks earl for showing me how a standard is supposed to handle... i could barely keep up through the twisties. hopefully with the right air pressure i can hang with you.

hopefully i didn't kill all of your eardrums with my kerker i kept hearing about how loud it was.... thanks also for the compliments on how good my pipe sounded!!! it means alot!

Rode the 208 miles from B'ham to Nashville, then...

Brent pulled into the world famous Loveless Cafe about 20 seconds after we did, not bad considering we started from different states!! Had 'Family style' lunch of fried chicken, fried catfish and hush puppies, Ham and green beans, mashed potatos and gravy, with cucumber and onion salad. Plus all the hot homade biscuits you could eat!! As they say at the Loveless 'Praise the lard and pass the biscuits'.....

We are in Tupelo, MS tonight after a nice ride on the Natchez Trace, not even halfway done yet!!! (only 186 out of 444 miles)

Hotel has a pool, weight room, hot tub, lounge, Big screen TV, Pool tables, glass elevator, ETC. ($55 a night, love those discount cards).

I got home from Canton, Mississippi at 1030 tonight. Only a little traffic delay and an incident with a bike out of gas on side of road. Fortunately I had some clear siphon hose, so I could rather than taste the fuel.

It was a good ride on a long country road with much interstate getting to and from it.

                          Happy motoring,

Good to Brent made it home OK, we stopped basically rode the trace all day and made it to the end in Natchez, MS. Lots of wildlife, police and a 50 mph speed limit made the drive seem much longer than it was. (444 miles) but it was a nice country road, quiet, no traffic with lots of stops for history buffs.

We did get a couple pictures of a cypress swamp....

I guess Brent answered this one! Anyway Barber was a big museum, with more bikes than you can count, plus a lot of race cars and a few classic cars thrown in. I took some photos......
