          Apparently...

We watched it fly over the house... couple minutes later my Mom called and told me it had vanished... apparently the pretty crystals we saw were pieces of it breaking away...

MoM is Meeting of the Minds. An annual event held at John and Kat's where work is done on bikes for the sake of helping others fix problems and teaching others how these fixes are done. Beer, BBQ, and Riding are also on the agenda (not necessarily in that order).

A colortune is a device that lets you see the color of the fire being produced inside of the combustion chamber. You can then tune the carb to produce the desired result. One way to get the idle mixture screw set correctly after cleaning the carbs. (someone please correct me if I am wrong here.)

So the real question is, Are you coming?

MoM (Meeting of the Minds) is an excuse to get together and work on bikes... BBQ... ride... and sometimes drink beer...
                Ahem

A colortune is a tuning device that allows you to see the spark... Doesn't work so well with the stock coils... but seems to work well with the performance coils... the Carbtune on the other hand... kicks butt... and we have one of those too...

Always a good time though... come on down!

oops... sorry Harry... didn't mean to step on you...

Oh yes... the list... before it gets too lost...

John - steering head bearings on the bagger 80SG
                Jeremy - valves
Austin- Complete my bike.... im tired of it
Tod- Drink beer and point... and leave mine the hell alone for once!
Scott - Valve Shims, Tensioner leak, Clutch plates/springs, Sync
Ivan - drink with Tod, install turbo and nitrous with high compression pistons and SRBs off the space shuttle. After drinking, test ride. Or I could just mess with the colortune, since I have never seen one in action before.
Harry - Valve shims if needed. Colortune definitely. Help drink the beer.

I have ordered a new valve cover gasket, is there anything else that I will need to bring if we do the valves on the midnight special?

Wow sounds cool. I don't know where it is, but most likely can't make it. I got a ton of other things going on. I wouldn't mind bringing the bike up and having some of you guys look at it. Seems to run well but rather have an "expert" check it out.

                      I don't think so, Harry...
I'm going to check with another member and see if I can get him to send me his shim library so we have a better selection...
Other than that... just a smile and a change of clothes.... maybe some ear plugs...

Hurst, Texas about halfway between Dallas and Ft Worth... so a good ride for you... but doable in a day... easy...
and definitely worth taking the time to come and check out... even with a busy schedule...

                        When is it?

Not to far... I was going to do a run this coming weekend that involved TX but things have come up. It was a 1500 mile Saddle Sore run, so coming down there wouldn't be so bad. I do own a trailer also.
