It's a great idea, but why not something more centrally located, make it at least possible for most guys to make the trip.

Or, we could do East, West and Central simultaneously.

DZ I'm up for this one.
I was trying to arrange to get to the one in Olimpia this year but by the time I saw it I couldn't get holidays booked for it. Too many already off in our shop ( something about nice weather and people wanting time off )

I remember some discussion about this going during the Rally around using a KOA camp.

So I checked into KOA. They have a real nice place in northern Idaho that even offers catering. For those that do not want to tent it, there is 1 and 2 room cabins as well.

        Just a thought.

KOA's are a good idea ... once a date is set, just confirm some spaces and that's it. They are m/c friendly but we'll have to bevahe ...

Does anybody know more details about this and the area of travel as well as Start finish points. I have never been to a rally before and this looks like my best opportunity.

            Thanks in advance.

                    Contraire,
Not all rallies on the same day. How can I go to more than one rally if they are all on the same day!

A BIG central rally is worth going to for me, even from Georgia.

I want to meet some of those XSives from the pacific north west any way.

                    Also,

If you want to ride a different side of the country, come to Florida in January.

See XS southeast rallies, Key west 2008.

Y'all are invited. 'Course getting there may be an adventure in it self.

I am not there yet, but from what I have seen -
lurking, reading posts from PNW, pictures from some of their rides, It well be well worth the trip from Georgia to Idaho. If I lived in Florida or Main, I might feel differently,

                        Happy motoring,

Perhaps a "rolling rally" would work. Plan a route that takes us across southern Canada, down through Idaho (maybe western Montana) to southern Oregon and back up the west coast. There is some might fantastic riding along this route.

Span a week from weekend to weekend with meeting places along the way.

We could have maybe 3 separate days to meet and hang out. Like Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday. Riders could join in when the gang comes through or near their area. A few may want to make the whole route.

                          What do you think?
