With me and him that is two VP in favor. Marty A, does your vote count? Since you may not even be a VP any more. (Must own an XS. Pics and memories not qualifying for VP priviledges)
If you still have it (with the ugly for sale sign on it), Vote quick, You and Sally could easily set the location in Penn. I will try not to complain about rain. At least it was not so bad to make me go to an indoor theater instead of riding a scenic loop, even if it did extinguish my cigar.
Brent,
still riding around in circles, trying to light my wet cigar.

Bruce - FINALLY! I thought you would never get to it. Good Choice. Not a Yamaha, but nice enough. Beware it attracks witches and other demons....
Brent - still a VP for at least one more day. oldbiker648 is coming up from Virginia to look at the Mangler tomorrow. If he buys it, fine; if he doesn't, fine also. I do like that bike.
Randy - are you coming to XS East? Even if we end up in WV? Terrific!!
Plans will be forthcoming, give me a day or two.

This IS my happy face.
Marty,
Enjoy the extra space you will have in Garage. Hope you get over your XSive loss and get through the grief ok. I m told that a pile of $, and riding another bike can help. I believe 'Ilene' will console you if the weather breaks.
Ride planning Suggestion; You might consider bringing a book to read while waiting at various way points. Some other bikes (the don't lean types) will take a little longer than 'Ilene' .
Will we still get an XS1100 on the back of our T-shirts? or will it be just a suitable substitute bike?
Happy dreaming of motoring,

I do appreciate the acceptance of all bike makes. Any bike you ride is a good one and can be much FUN. I am also relieved by the lack of Harley bashing, and absence of Zip-Splat critism in this group. While there are bikes that excell in one or more areas, I believe an XS1100 can out do them in another. Factor in in the YEE-Haw, smiles per mile, and Value. I would say the xs1100 is TOPS and all the other bikes are Substitutes, also rans, good, but not quite XS1100. (I am predudiced due to some early favorable riding experiences on an XS1100).
Also if you ride a rolling Barcolounger the greatest distance to an XS/XJ rally, you will not get the award for longest XS1100 riding distance to Rally. And if you trailer a modern sport bike the shortest distance to a rally you might win the Dreaded Harley Award and associated acolades (do you really HAVE a motorcycle liscense?)
AND...I kind of miss the rivalry...Specials are beter than Standards are better than Specials...and who needs a fairing? How about a Fully Dressed special as a dual sport bike? It might work...Bahn could do it. These XS1100 are versitle.
Still have not overcome Multiple Bike Disorder. I should confess that I have another. An 82 Honda cm450 -Rat Bike, (Hey it was a gift, then it came back after i had got rid of it, Only cost me a used shothgun in trade. A really good deal, but I do not want to talk about insurance & tags)
