    Rolling Thunder is in honer of the Vietnam Vets down iin D.C. Its a big ride every year . The year I was there. There were 350,000 bikers in the city for the weekend .That was in 99 . Was just wondering if any thing was ever done along that line of thinking.

      No offense meant! I just heard all summer about Rolling Thunder here and Rolling Thunder there; heck one bar was advertising a Rolling Thunder night in a flyer I saw somewhere near Buffalo.

      I kinda like the current rally theme. We eat, we ride all day, have a few that evening while meeting old and new friends, then do it again tomorrow.

        None taken, I like the way the rallys are as wellas you I'm not big on that many people in one place , but it was a site ot see that many bikes in one place for one reason. Alot of the time when I hear about Rolling Thunder . I think of HD pipes and the noise they make.

          Does this mean no NASCAR?

          Hi Wayne!

          Does this mean no more NASCAR. Sundays are "family" days ya know.

          By the way. Did you hear that Jeff Gordon is driving # 12 next year. Brooke is getting half of everything!

              Did you get your valve issues sorted out? If so, what was the remedy?

                  4th of July Rally update

                  Hey there all you XSives,
                  The host hotel/motel and campground we're looking at is;

                  Susquehanna Motor Lodge & Riverside RV Camping
                  1303 County Road 39
                  Bainbridge, NY 13733
                  (607)967-2102

                  Dave Price (owner)

                  Dave says reservations are 1st come, 1st served ... so it's suggested you make reservations early if you're planning on attending. There are some tent sites available as well. Our backyard will also be available, however, we only have 1 bathroom, so be advised, we'd all have to share !

                  The Ice Cream Run date has been changed, but there's still plenty of great riding to do here !
                  Gary & I will be taking off the week prior to the rally ( like good little road scouts !) for anyone who's interested,
                  If you have any other questions/concerns, please email us & we can give you the home phone # here or we'll call you, whichever works. If we're calling you, please list a "best time to call" so we don't play "phone tag" !!
                  We'll be posting more info as we get it, so keep watching for updates.

                  That's all for now, hope you all have a safe & Happy New Year !

                          Hey, Bruce;

                          That 400-600 bike rally in Deposit, is that the type of event that has vendors attending? The reason I'm asking is that I'm itching to get some pinstriping done on the Swamp Thing and that weekend would be a great time to get it done while we're there.

                          No one around here does that sort of thing, maybe you know of someone good in your area? Thanks.

                          Randy

                            Hey Randy,
                            Unfortunately, it appears that the Deposit rally has been moved to July 30th ( officially known as, "The Ice Cream Run For Kid's Sake")
                            I have pinstriping on my bike, that a woman right here in town did in vinyl graphics The ones on my bike are done in chrome, which are now about 3 years old. The nice part of this is, they're not real expensive, you can have whatever you want made, and if you decide later on you don't like them ... take a hairdryer to them to take them off and start over ! If you're interested, we can drop by the shop while you're here so you can take a look at what she has to offer. She might even have a "Swamp Thing" !!!

                            Let me know what you think.

                                Run To The Hills

                                Hey All You XS Ralliers,
                                As far as my wedding plans go we have decided to postpone them until next year. With that in mind , It looks like I WILL BE attending this years rally after all
                                I was talking to Bruce the "Desert1" last night and he is going to check his schedule at work to see if he could possibly attend also. It would be nice to have the Nova Scotia Bluenoser Boys there again. Yes Mark, I'm talking about you.
                                Has anybody checked out the vacancy at the hotel/motel yet? I am interested in how many rooms are left. I might have to move fast seeing that it's a last minute thing.

                                I look forward to seeing my old friends again and am looking forward to meeting some new ones.

                                Take Care,
