I think he is out playing golf. (Isn't that for old guys.)

Des Moines here. I havn't been checking this very often because I was assuming it was pretty much off. If it is officially still on, then we will still try to make it. Is everyone planning on staying at a motel or is anyone still going to camp?

I'm gonna sleep in my house.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

I gave up camping when they quit making shelters with skins....

            I'm in the Value Inn.

We have more than one bike, so it is a rally!

More Riders!!! We want more riders!!!

And have fun? At an XS11 rally? Of COURSE we have fun.

                  lostsoul,

I'm at the Value Inn but I understand that the camp ground is close by so if you want to camp, go for it. We can come over to your place and have a cook out.

If you decide to go maybe we can ride together. If you want to come Thursday night, stay at my place, and take the long way Friday I know a neat way.

Things do change fast around here. SHMBO has to work that weekend (if you can call a manditory retreat work), so I'll be up on sat. Keep me posted as to where and when.

                    See ya all there.

Exactly where is this Value Inn I have heard about? Anyone at nearby campsite?

"come to the rally or follow a harley somewhere" Is that
funny? Or is it a reference to the group of XSives who followed my harley back to XSeast in Pineville WV?

IS the schedule same as usual? ie
                        Friday Ride to rally .
Sat Ride in Big circle eat good dinner, virtual toast or cheers
Sun Ride in a different Big circle
Mon Ride in circle while pretending to be lost on way home

I do like this format, but it is not like most "rallies"

Brent, I thoroughly enjoy your company, you are a gentleman and you take a ribbin' and keep coming back!!!

                          COME ON!!

Such is my plan, arrive Fri, ride together in a circle on Sat and again on Sun, go home Mon. That would make us all big wheels!!

Some folks might have to leave Sunday, that's fine.

The Value Inn is at the exit for Rt 50 on Rt 94, north of Chicago, just a few miles over the border from Ill.

IT'S NOT FAR FROM CANADA, EH?

Pain is studying some routes and has mentioned some landmarks that ARE in the neighborhood, so I think we can trust him to at least get us into the circle...

To Bob, thanks for the invite. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to leave until Friday afternoon. We'll most likely leave Friday and go as far as my families in Janesville, WI. We'll come the rest of the way on Saturday morning, hopefully in time for the ride.
If there is anyone else interested in camping, we would certainly love to camp, and may still if we are alone. Like it was already stated, everyone could always come and cook out at our site.
Glad to see more folks on board.

Just a breif correction, that should be US Hwy 50 and I-94. If you need an exit number I can get one for you.

And I dunno about a circle per se, but I can wander around some and (eventually) end up back where we started.

I had been following this thread a while ago and then have not been here lately. I was planning to go, but it looks kinda iffy as to how many are going to make it. Weird that the instigator has dropped off the face of the earth. Anyway, I would still like to make it, but could not find the proposed date to easily, and did not want to sift through the large number of pages. So......what weekend are now talking about and is anyone going to the drag strip still? I would probably camp if I go, anybody else doing that?
