Went to peoria than hannibal this weekend. Peoria hotels are booking up fast due to a track meet that weekend. He have a choice of 2 hotels that will work. A super 8 and motel 6. Motel 6 will not give discounts but will give 10% off if you reserve online. Super 8 looks a little nicer but not much and is about 10 dollars more.

Hannibal was a fun ride down and a really nice town. Went to the Mark twain dinner. (which was highly recomended) Food sucked the service sucked and for 3 of up it was 43 dollars. the only good thing was the homemade rootbeer. still need to plan the ride home. can go back the way we came down. if we want to spend more time in hannibal or enjoy the back roads home. will post more later.

motel rooms

ok after much thought I desided the best location to host the rally is Super 8 in Peoria. This is why 1) For 10 dollars more we get a breakfast. 2) I feel safer leaving my bike outside. 3) It is easy to find off of Interstate 74.

I called last night and talked to a lady and she said I can get a group rate of 59.95 with up to 4 per room. and asked about how many room I told her about 5. I have 5 0n hold I am suppose to call her this weekend if I need more. will be posting the address and phone number tonight after I get home.

I have gotten a little busy lately. I will be getting all the info out this week. have the route planned and mapped out. will be getting a resturaunt list out this week also. Hannibal has almost every kind of food out there. I also have to get my bike running this week. Keep you posted

I have been slowly working on the t-shirts! Today I have been home sick so thought it would be a great time to get more info on t-shirts. Ran down to custom monogram showed them my Ideal. Here is my rough draft. The person that does the artwork was not in today will post the final pic asap.



The shirts will be printed on an ash grey with black and red text. The black outline around the bike and xs special will be removed.


They do things in dozens to make cost reasonable. 12 shirts or more is cheaper. Looks like 12 shirts will be about 11 each with 10 shirts about 16. big difference just for 2 less shirts. They carry up to 5x shirts with some added price for 2x to 5x


2x and 3x 2.00 extra
4x and 5x 4.00 extra

Spring time is coming.
Maxim Phil tells me it was 83 & sunny in Jacksonville FL. I believe I will ride down there & ride back to GA with him.

Will run down to the custom monogram place and see if I can get long sleeve. Pretty sure I can they had a huge book of shirts. So you like the design? It's the best I can come up with using the madbiker's past desings. Should have an answer by friday. They might be a little more.

Obviously I haven’t been watching the XS11 forum very close since I missed four months worth of posts.

Mat – Glad to see you are having another rally. Last years was great.
Tee-shirts look good, put me down for one (XL). The Super-8 is fine too, I’ll take one of the rooms if you still have any available.
If not give me the Super-8’s number and I’ll call them.

Just got back form custom monogram with a better figure and a look at the artwork. They took my pic and did a few changes. First the bike is red but has black tires they moved the lost in intothe map outline and pushed the Illinios out. but it still looks great. Cost is a little more due to art work!

$13 for S-XL
$14 for 2XL-3XL
$15 for 4XL-5XL

Brent I guessed you at a Xl so it is 2.50 more for long sleeve that would make it 15.50 for you. anyone else that wants a long sleeve thats bigger than xl I will have to check on the money difference.

Rooms

I am waiting on a call from the super 8 in east peoria with a better deal. Sounds like they are willing to give a price break and will lock in the rooms. You will need to call and pay for your own room but mention the Xs association to get the room discount. Will post the number and address after I talk with the new manager. As far as room avilibilty there are currently 7 rooms on friday and more open for saturday.

Just talked to the manager here is the deal.

56.00 per night plus tax

you call and mention the Xs Association and you get one of the rooms I blocked out. They are all smoking but might be able to change a few to non smoking if some of the schools back out. There are seven rooms available I blocked out 5.

But I just had rotator cuff surgery last night.
So, basically, I may get to hit some licks by August.
Anybody else have experience with this?
I would be interested in how long it took to get back on two wheels.

One month to go! So begins the count down and head count. I am trying to make sure we have enough rooms available. I am riding down to peoria this weekend to enjoy this upper 50's weather and to look for a good place for supper. will keep you posted.

Hope you are recovering OK Dan. No Surgery for me, but a friend of mine had it about 6 weeks ago. He is riding now.

First few days he did not want to know he had a shoulder. Meds helped with that.

After a week or two - hurt all the time.

Doc told him he could drive as soon as he could lift his arm up to the steering wheel. He figured riding was the same. He used his good arm to lift his sore arm and rest his hand on hand grip. Not what doc had in mind, but he is riding and grinning.
