Well it's that time again! This year I am planning 2 rides. May 9th - 11th and September 12th -14th.

Beginning plans are in my head for Mays ride. will be working out logistics this week. Plans are to start in Peoria Il. and ride south to Hannibal Mo. Yes Mark Twains home town. this will be another 250 mile ride I hope. will be looking for some route help from fellow members. I remember seeing a guy from havanna Il.

Septembers ride will head north hopefully will include the ferry we didn't getto go on. More info later.

I was told I will not have the map!

Lost is when you ride in circles untill you run out of gas.

Hannibal, Mo

Was checking out the Hannibal, Missouri website today and realized they are having a car show the day we will be roaring into town. What better way to show off our 30 year old bikes that going to a car show. My sister is looking into rooms and great mom and pop dinners in Peoria. Should have a few posted by next weekend. Also planning on heading down to her house next weekend to check out possible routes. This time I will have everything planned out.

T-Shirts

I have been toying around with the ideal of having T-shirts made but not to sure of where to begin. Whats the average cost of a shirt when you buy one for a rally? I know what I want for the design and am thinking long sleeved. I don't want to go in without a clue and get hosed!

My sister called today! She looked all round peoria for the best rates/comfort available. There are 3 motels near the mall but a little more expensive but a motel 6 on the other side of the river is about half the cost 45-55 a night and she says it is a nice place to stay. I am heading down feb. 15th to scope things out. I am going to try to get a group rate discount. We are also goingto drive to hannibal and check out the town. Maybe I will get luckyand find somegreat roads. Will keep you posted!

Matt,

T-shirts are usually $10 to $15, depending on number ordered & number of colors. Long sleeve is usually more & often not bothered with, though I like long sleve. One way to handle it is to to take prepaid orders, say $15 or more & refund any difference if they cost less. People do like to see the design. It can be posted here.

For XSpert & XSperienced advice, contact Ralph the madbiker. I believe he is getting XSeast shirts again. Seems he always does a good job. Tell him I sent you.

it's that time

Ok
It's that time again when I need to start locking down everything! I am heading to Peoria friday night to try to lock down some reasonable rooms. Think I will pull a "Trump" get prices then go to the cheapest and tell them they are the highest and I really want to host the rally from there. Ask if they can come down a little! Just like Donald! Saturday morning heading to Hannibal to scope out roads and resteraunts (damn wish this thing had spell checker). will post something sunday as to what I found.

I also have to find a silk screen printer.

Away from the Mall is OK with me.

Budget minded is preferred, Even the Cow Shed Motel in Pineville WV sold out during XSeast. There were only a few complaints from some of the young and sensitive attendees regarding acommodations.

Have fun wheeling & dealing. Your finds and recommendations were good last year.
