  • BTW, on the XS11, I used 10 inches sidecar wheel lead and 3/4" toe in. I can take my hands off the handlebars and the bike will track straight but slowly pull to the right because of the road crown. I have absolutely no head shake which is rare with conventional forks. Most bikes need some sort of steering damper such as a VW bug unit which can lead to even heavier steering.

Drove the "Widowmaker" back-n-forth to school/work fOaR 'bout 4 years. (*′☉.̫☉)

Dampener wuz adjustable on the fly. No dampening really needed at under 45 mph in-city traffic. (´◡`)

But every time I had to use the inter-state to go cross town? εεεεεεεεε=┌(;・_・)┘

I did NOT ferget to max it out fOaR those 60 mph plus runz. ε=ε=┏( >_<)┛

I ain't had those since the last time I was in LA and hit a taco stand that was built out of an old gas station.

I identify as a man but according to the label on a package of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four!

        • First off, I've picked away at this thread since I started on here, I do some fab work so I'd love to do something like this some day. Just picked up my second XS this weekend, it's on the horizon. Just need a garage to keep the project out of the rain. I totally understand the hesitancy toward giving advice, this is the sort of thing you've got to trust your own intuition and craftsmanship. And then second guess yourself over and over, just to make sure it's right.

I was just reading, hoping I could make my own... the consensus seems to be that it's much easier installing one off the shelf. Makes sense, getting the weight distribution and whatnot right has to be a pain, nevermind getting all the angles of the dangles right.

                  This is also insane:
