I'm farther then real close but I'll make plans on Reno. Just got to know the date so I can warn my Brother that I'll be crashin at his pad. Hopefully this can be somewhere between the beginning of aug and the middle of sept. That's a long ride and I'm gonna need to save, save, save, as well as build up the vacation time and save, save,

Now that our XS11LG is back on the road (thanks to butt splice 'n JB Weld), we can start to think about Reno and it all sounds great. Don't worry I'll replace that pickup coil by then...

Shouldn't this thread be over in SoutWest Rallys though?

Dates are pretty much fixed I thought, but is it South Lake (Nevada side) or Reno, DragXS11?

Reno sounds great- My 79 and I are ready to cruise- need to know date though.

I say we go for Sept. 3rd- the 5th. I bet we can make the necessary reservations to get rooms at the Lakeside Inn in South Lake Tahoe. This way we can incorporate Labor Day to ease the burden on Vac. Time. I'll P.M. all of you who have shown interest as we get a little closer.

That sounds good to me. If you like, I can make up an informational web page with the details as they develop. It'll have to wait for a month or so, as preparing to move to California in a few weeks. Let me know.

My apologies for the delay in getting this out but
work just wouldn't cooperate. The 2005 Indiana rally
site has been selected as well as the date of the
event.

The rally will be held in Bean Blossom, Indiana at the
Bill Monroe Memorial campgrounds. Rally dates will
be Jul 15, 16, 17.

I got a lot of input on desireable dates and I both
appreciate the input and tried to work with the dates
I was given. In the end the above dates were a matter
of working around the dates of scheduled events in the
area and at the Bill Monroe site which is home to many
Blue Grass festivals throughout the year. A look at
their site will confirm that this weekend is just
about the only thing available for a month either way.

I will be setting up a website to act as home for the
rally and a common point for information and chatting
between folks planning (or thinking of) to attend. I
will post that site as soon as I 1) pay for it and 2)
build it from scratch.

If anyone wishes to discuss anything concerning this

Indy Rally

That looks GREAT! I've always wanted to go back to Indiana (grew up in Valparaiso, Ball State grad) and ride Brown County.

That might, though, be the same weekend as the annual Y-Triples North Central Rally in LaCrosse, WI. It's going to be either that weekend or the weekend before...now it sounds like I need to push for the weekend before! I could catch that rally, visit my folks in Valpo, brother & sister in Indy, then do the XS11 rally before I head home. It looks like my summer plans are made...

I think Indiana is great. I found out that I will be on call with the duty phone through the laborday week, so Reno is out for me. The dates seem to work good for me also. I have the duty phone from the 5th to the 12th so this will be a good long weekend with a good long ride after a long week of work.

I'm in for Indiana! The triple rally in WI will be the previous weekend (July 8-9-10). Looks like I'm making BOTH. Woo-hoo!!

It figures! Now that I'm giving serious thought to getting rid of my XJ, I hear about a rally here in Indiana. Just a shame it's clear at the other end of the state from me.......
