Who owns the fastest XS11?

This is purely a bragging thread; you can back it up with your figures if you want.

I own the fastest XS because.....

or

Mine is not the fastest XS because.....

My answer is I do not own the fastest XS because I know some have seen 130+mph on theirs. However, mine should be the fastest in Cedar City Utah!

Mine is not the fastest by a long shot- for several reasons.
1) Full Dress [and I mean the works!]
2) 85 speedo [occasionally pegged and still pulling,though]
3) SWMBO would kill me if I went splat on my latest XS-she remembers how insane I was on the last one-130+.
4) More cops than bikes around here- can't afford the ticket [100 mph will set you back a weeks' pay]
5) Most of my riding buds are dads on Harleys-'nuff said.

I bet the fastest is a Standard model because of the rear wheel difference...but then again...someone might have a special with a standard rear...hmm...

Long road no traffic, and a nut behind the handelbars! 215klmph or 134.2 mph, but only once early on a cool morning at close to sea level! Dont know what the revs were was scared to look lol .........MITCH

My old 1980 STD only went to 85 on the speedo...hmmm should I just guess?

OK I guessed....probably not over 115...I never had it wound out in 5th (every other gear though)

I'm just not into riding fast anymore but I love the feel of acceleration. My XS11 fills the bill quite nicely. I have to hang on tight when I crank it on and it’s still pulling hard when I’m sure I’m going way to fast.

the xs1100 martini i once owned reached 220km/h and it was a plessure to keep this speed as long as it was possible in my little country called holland,it was my first xs1100 and at that time there where none radardivece's on pole's

oops, you said fastest not coolest. Mine is not the fastest.
The fastest I have had it going was 127MPH, but I ran out of road. I was not trying to run it flat out, I was teaching a friend on a 79 xs750sf a lesson. The Lesson was don't pull up next to me and wave - then blast off. I let him go for a good 5-6 seconds and he pulled away. I done the 5th to 3rd at 55MPH shift. Ran it to the redline, shifted to 4th and passed him. I got to rev a bit in 5th. Then I had to slow down. 2 miles up the road was a Cop at the next intersection.
I cruised by at 55 and waved to him!

My friend sold the xs750 and bought a 82 XJ1100 soon after that day. I will not mention him by name since he is a member of the forum. He knows who he is.

HOW BOUT - I DON'T KNOW HOW FAST MINE IS BECAUSE IT NEEDS TUNED AND DOESN'T EVEN HAVE GAUGES.... BESIDES THAT AFTER WITNESSING A BUDDY EAT ASPHAULT AT 120 MPH I'VE KINDA CHANGED MY WAYS WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPEED THING. OH WELL, IT'S STILL GOT THE LOW END TO HAVE FUN WITH.

I 'm not the fastest. I got my XS11 up to 110 MPH trying to catch a friend on a V-Max.
Needless to say I did't catch him. I still had a little throttle left-but my yellow streak began to glow. She just felt a little light-like I was barely hitting the road.

I guess it's (78 XS11E) pretty quick, had a long open piece of good flat & straight asphalt. I showered down on it. When I let off she was doing about 130 mph on the clock. Too damn scared to look down that long. She still had more but I didn't. With the fairing on I thought I was about to take off, old motorcycles and I are not meant to fly. The front end was sure lite. It can't be the fastest but it's way to fast for me to wind out all the way.

I dont know if you have the fastest in Cedar? You rode the XS I now own. I have jetted and synch'd the carbs since found few things wrong. Plugs, oil lvl, the valves are still tight gonna get an adjusting tool. My speedo doesnt work, im still fixing things up. MY freind, the guy that owned it before wanted to clock me. He has a Suzuzki boulevard. We took the frontage road going to Canaraville. First of all he couldnt catch me and was wound out around 95 and guessed i was going 120. We turned around he led. He said he was going 95 I passed him like he was standing still. I wasnt wound out had lots more to go, but i doubt that i was going 120. He just kinda guessed cause he couldnt catch me. I currently have the pipes off, but you are more than welcome to ride it now.
