Dielectric grease works alright for connectors and terminals if you're careful with it, my new bike has some connectors that are totally packed with the stuff and the lights still work. I bought a tube of Dow's finest space shuttle grease but it's messy, it attracts dirt, and there's no safe solvent for silicone to get it off of and out of places it's not supposed to be.
Krytox grease works for drive splines but its solvent is expensive and not good for children and other living things.
For battery terminals and grounds, copper anti-seize is good. Anti-seize is messy but it's easier to spot smudges right away without waiting for them to gather dust and they clean up with soap and water instead of getting a home HazMat permit.
