So according to the link it's an obsolete part. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement that will work? Or if Mikuni had changed the part numbers? I have the 301 x-2.

        Try jetsrus.com

They used to have genuine Mikuni needles.
Hope you can find what you need.

          Choices

Many members on this site swear by genuine Mikuni parts. No doubt you can't go wrong with that choice.

I have used the needles in the K&L carb kits, and I don't notice a difference:

Are you asking about the air/fuel mixture screws or the needles on the slides, or the main jets that the needles go in and out of?

A needle jet is an emulsion tube. I see them in the carb kits on ebay, may find some 80 ones if lucky. The 78-79 type are different.

Interesting how many names same part can have?

The 'jet needle' would be the metering rod, no?

Not to be confused with the 'needle jet' (emulsion tube) or the 'needle and seat' (fuel valve)

Looking at the attached drawing, it looks like item #55 is the emulsion tube/needle jet. Description calls it nozzle, main. If you do a search for needle jet, it refers to this same item.
so, appears this one item has 3 different (maybe more) names?

                          As per the schematic:

                          #55 - nozzle / emulsion tube

#56 - washer for main jet / needle jet ( not just a washer more like a spacer)

                          #57 & #58 - main jet / needle jet ( two numbers are two sizes 115's and 120's )

                          #33 - jet needle

werdna80 states he needs a 301x2, not sure if that's the nozzle but I'll be in the garage today and I'll see if I have one.
