      Possibly, about the same price.

I always liked the analog guage type better, I've always had better results.

Mine are adjustable too so I can hook them all together to a common vacuum source and calibrate them to read all the same.

Oh well ordered that washer.
Morgan Carb Tune comes from across the pond. Took about 5days for me to get one some 4yrs. back. Compared it with my mercury filled manometer and it is spot-on.

No, it wouldn't be quite sensitive enough. Besides, 'highest inch vacuum' IS incorrect method. It leaves mixtures a bit on the rich side, and creates lower mpg.

                      Hi Bax,
Welcome. Nice looking bike. Does it run as well as it looks? Has it been restored or was it kept in such good shape? I think those slotted roors are from 81 so you may want to check your VIN against the list ( which is hiding somewhere on this forum)

What is the best method. Looking to get it set as close as I can the first time. I bought the gauge set to do the sync.

SG makes it an 80model..............and the slotted rotors ARE correct for an 80SG(80 Special) and 81SH(81 Special, and they would be correct for an 81Standard(Venturer) and XJ1100.

If your hearing is pretty fair, back screw out a turn or so, then gradually in till you hear a sound change. Them back it out 1/8, to a 1/4 turn at most. Go to next one repeating procedure. That IS the lean-drop method for carbureted scoots. Carburated autos is same method cept after sound change screw is to be backed out 1 1/2 to 2 turns whether it be a four or eight banger motor.......so there ya' go with both fields covered.

I'm at 2 turns out now. Should I start there or start one turn out?
