IIRC, those are the 52series like in the pics Phil showed. The yellow tags on inner portion of mine that have that number series have decades ago dissapeared.

Suzy GS's of the 850's and up used the same as did the Kaways. Same in configuration on the smaller inline fours, which just puts the inner edge of lower really close to cyl. fins Doesn't seem to be an issue, as the ones I gave 3Phase for his 80G a few years ago originally came of a GS850.
You can purchase new well-nuts from Vetter's site if there needed for the holes in fairing, or your local Ace or tru-Valu. Vetters are a heavier duty rubber and pull up tight a little nicer. Same goes for the better quality of windshield screws/nuts from Vetter.

Yup......undo that bag, remove and unplug, clean and dielectic EVERY connection. Re-install bag(rare to find if wanting it original).

You do have the BIG tank. They're easily distinguishable by the curve where your knee rests, the standards have a nice radius curve, the BIG tank radius is kinda stretched upward.

I'd love a Standard tank, and have loads of Venturer tanks lying around here

Shipping back and forth to the UK will not be cheap, but it IS Christmas time! No VAT on "presents", so let me know if you really want a standard tank....

Yep, they're not strictly Venturer tanks, just the Standard tanks the rest of the world got, they're ten a penny over here, but are the same thing as a Venturer tank.

I think I have 5 spare but shipping will kill it.

I use one on my 5K7 Sport for touring

                    Venturer Runs

I got it to start and run. Idles fine but no throttle response at all it bogs and dies. I cleaned the carbs I have seen much worse and did not short cut on the clean. starts fine. If I touch the throttle it dies.
I let it warm up 20 minutes no change

if I leave the enrichner on it is a little better

Could the sync be out enough to cause this?
I have done a few others and not had this problem this bad

                    New fuel lines
                    All pipes hot
Any Ideas where to go next?

Air fuel screws are also factory sealed should I open them and try to adjust?

                        A must

No way can a carb be thoroughly cleaned without removing the mixture screws.

I was afraid of that. The factory seal caps look intimidating. I did not want to damage anything. The carbs look good I really tried to go over everything.I was hoping not to remove the caps but I will.
Compression is good on all 4. I guess I can try to sync and see if an improvement if not carb removal again.

Hey Gordon, getting to those screws is pretty easy and well worth it. You'll need a drill, 3/16 bit, sheet metal screw and some vice grips. Bore out the existing hole in the cap a little. The cap is less than 1/4" tall so be careful not to go much deeper than that. Insert the sheet metal screw, making sure it has a good bite on the cap. Now just pull the cap and sheet metal screw off with the vice grips (the cap Is just pressed in). This may take some muscle. This mod is probably the most bang for the buck out there as it only costs a sheet metal screw and it will allow you to get the most from your current setup.

                              No Headlight

I got this Venturer running really well. All along when it barely ran no electrical issues at all headlight came right on

Now No headlight No gauge lights and No front running lights.

Rear light is on and turn signals work

I am Frustrated I was hoping it was a fuse but no easy solution.

Anyone have any Ideas on where to start or common problems?

I am not even sure if the front running lights are only on at start or all the time the key is on.

On the Venturer, key on, front running lites and tail lite is on
Check the fairing plugin for looseness or dirty pin connections. For that matter, as this point, to reduce any frustration, unplug, clean(Deoxit or spray electrical cleaner) ALL connections, including those located in the 'bag' between the tripple clamp. Remove right sidecover, unscrew mounting plate fuse panel is attached to and unplug and clean ALL the five connections behind there. A little dob of dielectic grease on each connection before plugging back in will eliminate future corrosion on connections.
