Ok, I just ordered jets for 137.5 and 140. I also ordered a K&N filter. Thanks for all the advice. I will start with stock jets and see how it runs. I then can move up to 140 if I have to. Now I just need the 14 inches of snow we got yesterday to melt. The joy of living in Wisconsin. Thanks

The stock 137.5 jets will work just fine. You WILL get good gas mileage - a must for Specials. The only change that you will see with the 140 jets is less MPG.

If the bike does not run correctly with the stock jets, something else is wrong with it.

The bike dosen't run correctly now because my mechanic drilled the slides in an attempt to tune the bike to PODS. I have decided to ditch the PODS and use the air box with a K&N filter. I have jets that say 135 on them. I beleive these are too small so I ordered some 137.5 jets. This is where I will start.

              Yes Ian

I purchased four slides. I should be set as soon as the jets come in. Why do you think I had 135 jets in the carbs? Perhaps that has been my problem all along rather than the drilled out slides.

Can't really say honestly. Using the smaller main jets would definitely have leaned out the main circuit, and the effect the drilled slides had is unknown to me. The only indicator of how that bike ran to me would be plug color. Either way, 137.5 mains, stock airbox and a great group of knowledgable guys to ask questions to will get ur bike running sweet.

Once you get that airbox installed, this job is going to get a whole lot easier!
