Thank you for that. This one took 11 months, unlike the last 4 month job but actually worked out cheaper because of the resale value of bits that were on it..eg stainless exhaust.

Ideally, I'd like sell this one and do another one the same. But this model is getting a bit dofficult to find now.like last time though, I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for one on ebay and will snap it up if i can.......

Ha ha! 11 months because of my 'excess' of enthusiasm......

I'm pleased you like the results, Marco. I think it's better than the last one because I had the frame done and a lot of chroming. Also, the exhaust is better.

                  Looking for another one now!

Thanks Nate. I'm pleased to have kind of rescued this bike. It started off in a worse state than the last one but is actually a better job, I reckon.

I'm looking for another one but they are getting rarer here, unlike in the USA where you all seem able to get them easily and cheaply! There's a very, very tatty one on eBay which I've bid on but it's debatable whether it can be saved.......any I'm going to keep looking and see if anything comes up........ Fingers crossed....

                            Hi James,

I have yet to see a better restoration on any XS1100. Great work - Show winner! If you did consider selling this bike, what price would you ask for it?

Do all the European xs11s come with the rear turn signals mounted on the license plate? Here in the US the license plate mount was only used when you had hard bags since they cover up the original mount.

That is a very well done restoration James.
It looks like it just came out onto the floor at the dealers showroom!

The bike you're bidding on appears to be mostly there, just a bit worse for wear than others. I'd bet it might be a challenge but one you'd be able to easily handle.
