A bit of oil will come out, but you don't need the drain the bike. Just put it up on the centerstand, and change the switch.

You dbl checked the switch wasn't gunked up, yes? Even if it isn't, did you try cleaning it just for grins?Howard

Yup Bonz, i removed it, sanded the contact areas, and even sprayed contact cleaner generously on both ends. No luck....Time for a new (used) one.79 F

I swapped out my stockers on the SG with the VF coils, so I know I have one. (the other one is toast)

All fixed. Was a faulty neutral switch. Got one from Andreas, green light is a go. Seems that you test with ohm-meter, shove one connecter up the switch's gigi where the screw goes in, touch one to the push-in part of the switch, and needle should jump up. All's well!79 F
