What a drag. Sometimes DIY doesn't work out. I applied the Caswell coating to the inside of my tank but the material was too warm and the material hadened before I could spread it properly. I contacted Caswell and they are sending me a second kit free of charge. In order to ensure that the epoxy adheres to the first layer I have to wet it with Acetone. The first coat looks pretty good - very hard.81H Venture - hope to ride summer 2013

JB Weld doesn't hold up.
I'm a BIG fan of JB Weld for many applications but let me tell yuo that based on personal experience that it doesn't hold up against gas. I tried to patch a tank that was in the same shape as the one in the picture and it didn't work. It had to be braised(sp?) to stop the leaks.1980G Standard, Restored

I don't want a lined tank. I can find another solid one for what liner costs.Greg
