What a drag. Sometimes DIY doesn't work out. I applied the Caswell coating to the inside of my tank but the material was too warm and the material hadened before I could spread it properly. I contacted Caswell and they are sending me a second kit free of charge. In order to ensure that the epoxy adheres to the first layer I have to wet it with Acetone. Bone stock 1980 Special except for the exhaust and crashbars. Oh yeah, and the scabbard for the Winchester Defender.

JB Weld doesn't hold up.
I'm a BIG fan of JB Weld for many applications but let me tell yuo that based on personal experience that it doesn't hold up against gas. I tried to patch a tank that was in the same shape as the one in the picture and it didn't work. It had to be braised(sp?) to stop the leaks.1980G Standard, Restored
