Hi all. Just a update on the PINGEL I installed in place of the Octy I know I have been one of the few if not the only Octy fan, but after rebuilding mine a couple of years ago, it failed last year and CARBS FLOODED AGAIN I beleive it is due to changes in todays gas, so on Biker Phill's recomend, I bought a PINGEL vac. shutoff for about $100.00. best money spent on bike so far It fits about in place of the Octy and I plumed it with two adaptor "T's" so I could run both smaller size petcocks into one larger size PINGEL inlet and then two elbow joints anf the other "T" let me run the larger PINGEL outlet into the smalled size 2 carb fuel inlets. I capped off both "prim" nippels at the tank to make it easy and cleaner install.
I was able to do it all with carbs on the bike, including removing the old Octy It has worked flawlessly and the hundred bucks is less then I have wasted on oil changes from carb overflow in the past Any one who has a Special and does this and the fuse box upgrade will save them tones of problems I couldn't fine my camera, so no pic's, but if any want more info, let me know if I can help
