Looks like the alternator side seal is still available from Yamarobber but the ignition side has been discontinued. Both seals are available in generic form without the raised outer ring.

Look around and see if you can find these listed somewhere on the net. They're a double lipped seal and I've had good luck with them.

First one is a 32X45X7 and the other one is a 32X48X8.

This isn't a bad deal for them on Ebay... Might pick up a couple each in case you mess one up on the install, or just to have as spares. They don't take up much room.

          Thanx Big

You and I think a like, with my fleet growing you never know when extras will come in handy. As a side note, I made a jug removal tool off your basic design. Very smart idea, worked like a charm. Loved your engine thread too. Unfortunately I didn't see it until this one was already torn apart. Nice camera work.

Thanks. Glad it helped someone. I've seen several destroyed cylinders posted over the years.

              Oil seals

What about the ones you don't have to split the cases to install. Last xs north rally Andy blew his out and I had to trailer him home. If we'd had one of these handy we could have installed it on the side of the road.

Mack, I'm pretty sure that the Yamaha OEM seals are the only ones that have the outer protruding lip where cracking the cases is needed.
