found studs at sears...the ss allthread cost me 2.60...at sears each stud was 2.60...WTF!?...found 4 the right size, then had to get 4 that were too long and needed the solid middle part threaded...damn its been a long day...
the exhaust gaskets were new and needed to be crushed...was using a 1/2 in socket wrench...ugh...oh well, the gaskets are in there, and now all i got to do is finish the last stud, get the new ones in there and the exhaust will be done! i hope...79 XS11 special "Loki" - homemade 4-2 exhaust, pod filters, rebuilt forks with progressive springs, tkat fork brace, progressive shocks, rebuilt all brakes and MC's, rebuilt carbs with #142.5 main and #42.5 pilot, a custom front and chin fairing, and a handmade set of saddlebags....

Edit: Ok, I did a search and it's late model Chevy small block exhaust studs, they are the longer type that will work on a Standard.Last edited by bikerphil; 07-14-2012, 09:25 PM.2H7 (79) owned since '89
