Bummer.... can't weld that up and hide it . You might look and see if you can find another left-side muffler assembly before you hack both pipes up....

      I've been searching for it on e-bay but really difficult to find a good one.

      I'm thinking about buying a HD or Vance & Hines slip ons instead.

          My new set of exhaust from niche cycle parts has arrived and will replace the exhaust tmrw...no choice but to cut it off because there are holes on both left and right side.

            The links u posted works, but if u want the actual image to show up on here u need to insert that link in between or you can click on the icon above the new post text box that looks like mountains on a yellow background, and insert that link in the popup generated by that icon. I saw the pic, and must say, that is a very odd spot for it to crack, usually they crack where the factory welds are or along the bottom, not across the top. Good luck getting it welded right there, if it were mine I would shoot for some H-D muffs.

                I put some on. They don't have as deep a tone as stock or Jardine 4-1. I couldn't get the sluggish midrange transition sorted-out without adversly affecting other throttle positions, so I took them back off.

                  my new exhaust

                  installed this the other day ...not the best looking exhausts but the sound is okay!

                  I won't waste my time fixing this, the right exhaust also has a hole 3/4 dia.(approx)

                  goodbye old man!

                    I would (hesitantly) suggest carefully cutting them open to see how the things are baffled and how the exhaust is forced to flow through the muffs.

                        OK.. Spill. Where'd ya get the exhaust and how much? I like those much better than the Harley or Mac turn-out mufflers.

                            thx

                            @ Natemoen, I'm gonna thow it away anyway so I'll try to cut it open one of these days and post some pics , it would be intereting to see how it's baffled inside.

                            @madmax-im ,Thanks... I agree , it would be a lot of work if I attempt to fix it.

                            @trbig , I bought the mufflers from Niche Cycle Supply ...here's the link below:

                            @motoman, thanks.

                            thanks for your comments , makes me want to post more pics
