Knew i forgot something, ended up being 51.40 shipped. (Seems 18 shipping) They never sent me an actual invoice including the shipping price. Invoice said 34 for the part.

So that comes out right about what it was costing us through the other sources we were getting them through. I wonder how reliable their source is, and how many they are going to be able to get? In other words, did Yamaha release the exclusive on them so that any bearing house can now get them so they could become generally available if the demand was there? (I know it's not, but maybe enough demand to at least keep them available on special order).

Hey Rettic, that link shows two different bearings, a NA5904 and a RNA5904. What is the difference between the two?

This is all ancient history, but I guess as new guys come on it bears repeating.

The NA5904 is the whole enchilada.

The RNA5904 is the outer race w/ needles, but without the inner ring.

This info I got from the NTN Bearings web site. Also from the KOYO engineering docs. BTW, KOYO was the OEM supplier for Yamaha back in the day.

                    From the KOYO site:

                    Cylindrical roller bearings

                    Single-row

                    Metric series

                    Needle roller bearings

                    Machined ring type

                    Search by Bearing Number
                    Bearing Number:

Bearing No. Classification 1 Classification 2 Classification 3 Classification 4 CAD
NA5904 Needle roller bearings Machined ring type With inner ring -

Well i got on this search and destory misshion and this is where it ended up.
Just talked to NTN and they said it was an active part number and said the last production run was in Oct of 2010, i ask if they had them in stock and he said what he could tell me was there was a good chance that they had it in stock, he said he was not allowed, buy the eng. department to give out any more information on what they had in stock.
