That would work. Probably have to push the seal in to butt up against the bearing to keep it square but that shouldnt matter.

Why not just an extra spacer on the outside of that spacer? Just to take up the extra space? This might be a way to work around the lack of these unobtainium bearings (I guess we need to get to Pandora to get more unobtainium to make more of them from)

That'd work too, as long as it was outside the original spacer (as you suggest). On the inside it might interfere with the seal.

I might buy one and see how it goes.

If you do this, use one piece. You don't want that miniscule spacer falling out when you pull the axle. Or worse, falling inside behind the seal when you're installing the axle, that would be a real PITA

What I meant was to replace the original spacer with one that's 6mm longer to make up the difference. The axle will square everything up.

Yall may have allready tried this, will the hub out of a XS 750 work on the XS 1100 wheel because Bike Bandit shows that they have the bearings for the XS750 hub.

Just give them the part number, they have the cross references. If they don't, hang up the phone.

Good call, the rear drive swaps out, so the wheel clutch hub may also swap out.

The XS850 is the same bearing as the XS11, but they dont have it either.

What about epoxying the extra to it so it stays. I'd be worried about finding one with the protrusion like the original. Actually I'd really consider JBWelding it if I was going to do that, and probably see if I could order/get a new spacer first (nice clean surface). Failing that, get a used one and clean it really really good so I would still have the original for if going back to stock ever became possible or something. But of course, this is all academic right now.
