Most people switch all the dash, tail, turn, and brake lights over to LED that saves a lot of juice. Headlight on low is about 5 amps high is about 6 amps. I think the current setup of TCI and coils is about 10 amps (I might be a little generous with that number not sure really) total so I would think the MS and the COP would probably be about the same maybe.

So even if you did all LED and so we estimated about 17 amps normally needed just to run things you would have 7 to spare and then you still have to figure in amps to charge the battery.

Just remember Watts divided by volts gives you amps.

LED is going to be the lowest current draw. As far as I know there is not s DOT legal headlight. So HID headlight would be the way to go.

And they will ne way brighter. Most people switch to hid for the brightness and the power saving is just a benefit.

I want to go hid and then still add a pair of driving lights on my case guards.

I was thinking, you should be able to do this with a crank sensor (the pair cylinders at exactly in time with each other) and then a hall effect sensor for TDC of #1 on the cam, which may be able to be inside the valve cover as long as you get something that can take the oil. I mean most auto engines use both cam and crank sensors.

Thats the general idea up until this point though the ms was unable to do sfi so im exited now the upgrade also offers a bunch of others the cam signal needs a wheel on the cam itself im thinking of just geting the end lengthened then put an ls1 cam gear on the end to get the signal then a 36-1 trigger on the crank
