Just for an aside, the wires on the float valves are also there to help the float PULL the valve open in case it gets stuck and won't open from just gravity and fuel pressure, when the float finally drops low enough to engage the wires.

These needle valves arrived today and I just installed them. Vac test was perfect. There is now no leakage what so ever. So now I can set the floats and put this leaky needle valve issue aside hopefully once and for all. I will be ordering another set of these for my hope up bike.

I always advice folks not to use the washers on the new ones and opt for fuel thread tape instead. It will keep you from having harsh bends on the tabs.

I was actually curious as to whether I should use the metal washers that came with the new valves or the fiber type that are stock with the original valves. I opted to use the metal ones and didn't even have to adjust my float heights. They do not look like they will bind within they movement range.
