    XSChop,

That is one bad a$$ looking bike. You must let us know how it behaves when you roadtest it. Were you able to use the steering damper from the busa?

Good question, I checked it out and you could change the xs11 wheel bearings to fit the Hayabusa axle. I have a bracket design still programmed in the CNC to put 'Busa calipers on the XS11 forks....Talk about overkill....BTW This axle has only two pieces...A bolt and an axle nut, wheel removal is a breeze here too! The steering damper would be an easy tab weld-on to the xs frame but I am keeping it simple and probably won't add it.

            newer wheelbases

With the stock 'Busa front end and Triumph rear, I measure the wheelbase to be 61.75". I installed the 2.75" Fork extenders to raise front end a little & clear the mufflers a little more (I thought the pedals were draggin')....this brought my wheelbase to 62.75"....Give or take an 1/8"....I can lean really low in the turns and the steering isn't as quick. I will adjust the extenders in the middle range and see if the muffler scrapes at all....So far, So Good....

              last updates

Been out ridin' this machine hard this weekend. I decided to swap my gold colored Busa forks for my billet-colored forks/brakes to keep the flat-black billet look. I will use the gold ones on my next build.

More customizing to the front end, I am happy so far with the headlights, the lower one throws a long beam and the upper throws a wide for normal driving

I welded a bracket together to mount to the stock alloy bracket by two bolts and installed some new style LED license plate lights.

Installed new rear LED signals as well...

Had the Triumph St. chaingaurd lying around, so threw it on....

And to protect my hard work, I drilled out 2 opposite 10mm slots to mount a rear wheel lock

Looking forward to tomorrow's commute .....Chop

A small piece of 8mm wetsuit material, followed by 1" of hard foam and 1/2" of soft foam. Glue together, shape, add black Nagahyde or leather and your good to go!. JMHS

                                Chop,

That looks awesome! We need to meet up and ride soon. I am a new dad so my carbs are still taken apart on my work bench. I'm hoping to put them back together tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get it right this time and we can ride! If not, I'm gonna be begging Mouse to fix it!
