    frameflex

These do take out the flex of the frame under hard acceleration and cornering...and I don't notice much more vibration than the old rubber ones (maybe because they were old)....

the motor acts as a stressed member after you install these, gets rid of the sponginess of the xs frame...chop

              Hey Chop,

Would you mind posting that diagram that they are sitting on, so folks might be able to utilize your measurements IF they wanted to make their own??

Glad to see you using the drawing - I should have done one in imperial as well. -

I know we have inches as well over here in the U.K. but I find metric easier to measure.

Why did yamaha use rubber to begin with?

                          Hi Guys,

Because of the way the motor goes into the frame, a simple poly bush does not work; You need a steel centre right through the bush- Same idea as the rubbers which yamaha fitted.

If there is only poly, the frame will "pinch" as the bolts are tightened. You need something like this:-

                          Hope this helps!

                            poly

I saw those too (very nice work). I made a rear bottom set (solid)for my latest project to keep the sprocket steady in relation to the frame. Question, why didn't you extend the poly all the way to the end of the inner metal mount?

To kill secondary vibration I'd imagine, as the XS was always a long distance mile eater.
