You can do that and the company encourages re-use but you might want to filter out particulate matter. Yes, it does evaporate.
i also asked if I could dilute it with something, perhaps water to allow a slower process but with a larger volume of mass to deal with, like filling a gas tank with the dilute solution and waiting days for it to act. The answer was do not dilute it, leave it concentrated and turn the tank, shaking it every so often to cover all parts.
It works beautifully.82 XJ1100 Maxim "hurricane"- DEKA EXT18L AGM battery , NGK BPR6EIX spark plugs, Green Dyna coils, Sylvania SilverStar Ultra H4 bulb, 139 dB Stebel Nautilus air horn, Home-made K&N air filter based on an original paper filter frame, new piston rings, Barnett Clutch Springs, SS braid/Teflon brake lines, TKAT fork brace, rebuilt calipers, master cylinders, new brakes, reupholstered seat, lotsa little things and so many answered questions here.

so if I use "Evapo-Rust" or Metal Rescue, i won't have to use Phosphoric Acid or Muriatic acid in this article?

and if so, do i still need to rinse it with baking soda + water, and then once more with acetone/alcohol? (i reckon i still need the latter part right? to get rid all the evapo-rust chemical...)79 XS11

Directions say to rinse with water, dry and apply a rust inhibitor. For a fuel tank I would rinse with water, then denatured alchohol to remove the moisture.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

If following with a tank liner, I would rinse with lacquer thinner and then line it.Marty (in Mississippi)

ack, i don't have denatured alcohol, and that gas tank sealer stuff ain't cheap too. i guess i will let the pros at a radiator shop do it instead.

Here are some time lapsed photos of Evaporust - hope this works.
Original rust.
