Seat is raked a little too high for my taste, a little too "a la streetfighter" but the shape and style is spot on. I wonder if you could raise the rear of the tank to match the rake on the seat to smooth out that transition? Or maybe you just like it the way it is. Shows off your mono well, though

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. Yeah, I actually agree the seat is too high. Im going to bring it down about 1.5" and I was also thinking about raising the tank just a hair. I'm going to work on it all weekend and get the lines nice and sexy.

      We think alike I think.

I am pretty interested to see how this turns out!

Don't know if you have checked out dotheton.com, but there is a huge following of very open minded cafe racer/ fighter/ bobber builders over there that would really dig this build.

Here is a link to my last build:

        keep it up, man!

I haven't been on that site, I'll have to check it out

Got everything mounted and mocked up. Motor is coming out now! Then I can finish all the welds and make the frame nice and pretty

You can see the LED R6 taillight. It fits nicely under the seat. Im going to make a pan under the seat

Looks cool! YOu worried at all about the tire hitting the lights when you brake hard?

              Sharp looking mod!

That monoshock looks cool - the high rear seat looks sorta like an R1 without plastic.

Actually, yes, I think I am going to have to raise the headlights and windshield about an inch or two to avoid them hitting the fork brace that will be going on there.

Yeah, the high tail and monoshock really imitate the look of the newer bikes, that's what I was shooting for

The frame and swingarm are now all fully welded, and the motor is out and getting cleaned. Give me about a week, and I'll have it partly back together. There are still many parts that I am waiting for.....

                  Small update.

He got in a fight, and lost an eye. Haha! Left eye, I think I'll call this bike

LED's with projector. Dont worry...I have a 6000k HID bulb coming....it wont be yellow for long

I also polished and painted one of my side engine covers

Added some bondo to the frame and swingarm to make it nice and pretty.

Looks really good! I like that projector headlight a lot, too.

                      Painted frame soon then?

Thanks! Yeah the projector is nice, and with the HID is 3x better lighting than any halogen bulb.

Yeah, everything will be getting painted soon. The seat/tail needs some fiberglass work and the tank needs some work as well. But it wont be longer than a few weeks.

So ... what kind of tires are you going to put on that bike when you finish putting it all back together?

I have a set of GT501's for it, yes, Dunlop

And yes, black wheels won this time. I was going to go gold, but I though gold wheels and gold rotors would clash....maybe next time.
