About that Honda, for now Im gonna paint the frame parts black again and build a rolling chassis. Gonna convert the steering head to rollers but mainly just restoring it to clean stock form although it wont be all original. Depends on the money I guess. Wheels are pretty cruddy and the spokes are wasted so thats kinda what Im wondering what Im gonna do with it. I wouldnt wanna clean up the hubs and relace those rusty rims back on there, so Ill have to find something for that. Too busy workin on the XS hahha.. almost dont need this bike anymore.

Just picked up a 1983 Venture Special Edition yesterday. Winter project. Rear brake froze up. Some electrical issues with the insturmentation. I think it might just be bad connections. They were working when I picked the bike up. Although it's got 89k, it's got a strong running motor with no issues. Previous owner said the upper was rebuilt? whatever that means. Tranny shifts beautifully. Cosmetically it's in good condition. Everything is there. No scratches. Just needs a good detailed cleaning. I think I'm gonna love this bike. Rode it home from Port Huron to Saginaw last night in 40 degree very windy conditions and it handled great. Very comfortable ride.

Other than my '81 XS1100SH and my '82 XJ1100 the one bike that sees most of the miles is my '95 Honda ST1100.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but do I have to have my photographs posted up on some web location (like photo bucket or something) to be able to post pics here? When I click insert image it gives me a place to enter a URL; if that's the case (and I know it'd be on me) I just can't do that.

                Thanks guys,

On photobucket all I do is click on the IMG code which is below the image. It then shows copied or you may have to right click to copy that. Then when you enter (paste) that info in your post the pics just shows up right in the post. Maybe that helps you some. I am not sure if there is any other way to do it without photobucket or not. It seems everyone uses that method though.

Yes (thanks for the reply!) that is my point: you have to have an "off shore" account with a place like 'Photobucket' or somewhere to post a pic...correct? That's just something that (for various reasons) I can't do. No biggie...trust me, you're not missing much with my bikes.

First bike was a 1980 Honda 185XLS. I bought it in 81' with 2000 miles has about 5000 today has been sitting empty for about a year now.
Second was a 1982 Yamaha Virago 920. Bought that bike in late 82 after the search for the 81 xs1100 failed to turn up any still in the showroom of any dealer within driving distance. I WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER YAMAHA WITH A DIGITAL DASH!! That nightmare started bilnking at about 2000 miles and NO dealership could find the problem. Dumped it for $1000 dollars after a year and a half.
Now the 79F,SF and 80 MNS. Finally.

Yes you do need an external source to post pics...in that way no bandwidth at Ch.11 is wasted...thats exactly how I do it

^doesn't look like much but my XV750 "sport bike" project being stripped I saw a v-twin and a mono shock and visions of a Virago with rear sets, 2-1 yoshi pipe and clip-ons filled my head
