It is a sad day that the old site is gone and very much appreciate the years of community it provided.
bikerphil , I copied the content to our new xs11.club site. 100% of the forum content was transferred. The old site also had some static website content like maintenance and how to articles. There was no saving that now deprecated content management system. So a group of volunteers re-posted all of that content, pictures and all, as forum posts on xs11.club. So now all we have to maintain is the forum, none of that static website content that had its own user controls.
I did try to coordinate the upgrade in place but needed additional access to xs11.com which fell on deaf ears. I then tried to coordinate a move to a new server but keeping the same domain name, but I needed access to the domain name settings. In the end, I setup a new site and a new domain and requested a forwarding rule be applied at xs11.com to xs11.club. That way google would have updated all of its links over time. Unfortunately that never happened.
With xs11.com gone, xs11.club will start rising up the search results. And if payment on xs11.com's domain name truly lapsed, then in a few months we should be able to buy it. May or may not be useful to have it, I doubt any search engine will keep it ranked highly after a few months of the site being offline. But if its cheap enough, it would be good to finally setup the redirect to xs11.club.
