That's very cool and very true.

The bikes are a great bonding time for John and I.
We work on our bikes together and ride together... definitely helps the relationship when you have something like this that you both love to do together.

I'm on the side of keeping them stock if they are in good shape to begin and it can make me cringe to see a nice bike go under the sawzall, but as long as you are doing a good job of a custom modded bike I'm going to respect that even if it's not my style.

But. And here's the but. Hate has no place in any of this including hipster hate. Since when is it cool to hate on people you don't know based on how they dress, what they ride or how they prepare their header melted brie? Everyone has a
right to their preferences and I sure have strong opinions and have a laugh, but to hate on someone because they mod in a certain way ain't cool. There's too much hate already in this world.

One of the coolest things about riding is the biker wave. It probably comes from the time bikers were almost universally hated by "the man" or maybe it comes from solidarity in sea of texters in cages. Thats the vibe I like to see here.

Anyway that's enough hippy kum-ba-ya for one post.

Yes. The biggest thing wrong with it is the asking price. The description is pretty ridiculous as well. A reasonable price and honest description would make it a decent bike pretty quick.

I like modified bikes, but they are very subjective. I only like the ones that I like and I dislike the rest of them. I'm sure most of us are that way, even Ben.

Looks good, but does it perform. Lack of any fork brace says probably not.
